Retired pastors of BIC Nicaragua do not benefit from social insurance to help them once they are no longer able to work. The church purchases calves to raise and sell. The income from the sales is used to replenish the herd and each year they provide a $1300 benefit to three pastors. One calf costs approximately $500.
